Nathaniel came into our lives 26 years ago today! He completed our family and has brought so much joy, laughter and fun to our family over the years.
I am very proud of this young man and how he is maturing. He is a thoughtful and sensitive human being, a true animal lover and a creative, hard working guy. Nat (as we call him) took a big risk a year ago and moved away from his comfort zone in Southern California and headed East to the Big Apple. His sister and sister in law helped with the transition by allowing him to rent a room in their Sunnyside apartment. I know that sharing living space for the three has been a challenge, but they have made it work somehow, and now he is preparing to move out on his own (with friends). I have loved the idea of my kiddos sharing space and taken comfort knowing that they are 'there' for one another. I worry about my darling daughter walking the dog late at night and have taken solace in thinking that her 6'4" baby brother is there for protection. The girls, on the other hand, have been invaluable in providing support and assistance to Nat in learning how to navigate the complexities of adult life in a big city.
Nat - today we celebrate you, all you are and that which you are becoming - a caring, responsible and successful young gentleman. YOU make me proud!! I am so glad to be your mom....
